Hamsters are a great low-maintenance pet option which is what makes them appealing to families with children who are trying to learn the responsibility of a pet. Hamsters are also adorable and fun pets and children often want to feed them treats to show their affection. But, it can be confusing trying to figure out what to feed your hamster.
You can feed your pet hamster an array of humans foods, just makes sure you keep track of how often and how many treats he is getting. Avoid processed food, instead use whole grains and fresh fruit and veggies. Avoid anything with a high sugar content as some hamsters can be prone to diabetes.
